 Mon Aug 31st - Sun Sep 6th

Monday 8/31 - The morning is serious and focused on taking care of business (Moon in Capricorn sextile Saturn at 7:12 AM). The pace picks up and things get more interesting around noon when the Moon sextiles Uranus (12:09 AM).

The Moon enters Aquarius at 9:43 PM.

Tuesday 9/01 - People are feeling out-going and talkative this morning as the Aquarius Moon trines Mercury in Libra (7:22 AM). Catch up with friends and make plans for later. It's a good day for a long lunch or a special treat of some kind. People are in the mood to luxuriate as the Moon opposes Venus in Leo (12:28 AM).

Wednesday 9/02 - This is one of the nicest days we've had in weeks. The Aquarius Moon conjuncts Jupiter (1:26 PM) and Neptune (11:20 PM). These two planets have pulled farther apart recently as Jupiter retrogrades back into the earlier degrees of Aquarius. Jupiter is startling bright these days, rising just after sunset and sitting rather low in the southern sky in the hours before midnight.

The mood is sunny and joyful, making it easy to remember all the things we are grateful for. Tonight is quiet and meditative. Ask for a special dream if you're seeking guidance .

Thursday 9/03 - The Moon moves into Pisces at 9:58 AM.

Mercury squares Mars (10:19 AM) again today. Actually, they have never moved out of square since last Tuesday. Normally Mercury would have gone zipping by Mars as it is the faster of the two but Mercury has slowed down considerably as it is about to go into retrograde. So this square is being prolonged for almost two weeks. Two weeks of Mercury square Mars, so hot-heads and motor-mouths predominate.

Last week I said," Mecury square Mars is very verbal and loves to debate and argue. Conversation has a way of deteriorating into argument under this influence though it can be very good for writing and breaking through writer's block, as it unleashes a torrent of words."

This will be felt more later in the week when the Moon triggers Mercury and Mars. Today is relatively sedate as a Moon/Pluto sextile (11:18 AM) tends to keep its feelings to itself and tonight's Moon/Mars trine (9:39 PM) encourages a positive use of the Mars energy.

Friday 9/04 - The Moon is Full in 12° Pisces at 10:03 AM this morning. The recent Pluto/Mars/Mercury t-square is still in effect (see last week's forecast) and Saturn is approaching its third opposition to Uranus so there is considerable tension in the air.

Saturday 9/05 - It's an ornery little day, starting off with a Moon/Saturn opposition (7:46 AM). The energy level is low and people aren't feeling up to the demands of the day. Take it easy this morning even if there is a long to-do list or you'll end up on the wrong end of the next aspect, the Moon's opposition to Uranus (10:53 AM), which is very accident prone. It could be a case of "the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get". Avoid the hassle and slow down.

The Moon moves into Aries at 8:14 PM.

The emotional atmosphere is a bit tense this evening (Moon square Pluto at 9:30 PM). It may be that someone is trying to pressure you into something you don't want to do.

Sunday 9/06 - The day gets off to a busy start (Aries Moon opposition Mercury in Libra at 8:00 AM). There's lots to do and say and everyone is very enthusiastic, maybe too much so. By mid morning the noise level gets a bit overwhelming and tempers flare (Moon square Mars at 10:25 AM). It's time to get out of the house for a breath of fresh air. Strike out on your own for an invigorating excursion.

The mood mellows out this evening. It's a good night for a party. A Moon/Venus trine (10:14 PM) has people ready to relax and celebrate. The mood is happy and friendly so everything should go smoothly.

Mercury goes retrograde (10:45 PM).

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

  Mon Sep 7th - Sun Sep 13th

Monday 9/07 - Labor Day. The tone is upbeat and pleasant. The Aries Moon sextiles Jupiter (8:17 AM) and Neptune (6:13 PM) so people are feeling friendly, optimistic and expansive. It's a great day to go out and play.

Tuesday 9/08 - The Moon enters Taurus at 4:18 AM.

It's a dynamic day. People are starting the week with a quiet determination, focused on getting results (Moon trine Pluto at 5:30 AM). The energy level is still going strong this evening as the Moon moves into a sextile to Mars (8:38 PM). A little vacation has people relaxed and invigorated.

Wednesday 9/09 - The mood is lazy, good-natured and a bit self-indulgent today as the Taurus Moon keys into the upcoming Venus/Jupiter opposition. This should be a good week for retail sales as people usually spend more money when Venus contacts Jupiter, even if it means breaking the budget.

The Moon squares Venus at 10:48 AM so the day gets off to a slow start and really never gains much momentum. Don't expect to get much work done today. But it's enjoyable, fun and friendly. A Sun/Moon trine (11:25 AM) confirms the harmonious mood. When the Moon squares Jupiter (2:35 PM), "Let's take the afternoon off and go shopping!" actually sounds like a good idea as we are under the influence, under the influence of Venus/Jupiter.

We don't sober up until late tonight when the Moon trines practical Saturn (11:44 PM) and it's time to come in for a landing.

Thursday 9/10 - The Moon moves into Gemini at 10:17 AM.

The evening is social and busy. The phone is ringing and everyone wants to talk at once (Moon trine Mercury at 7:50 PM). It's a good evening to get together with friends or go out on the town for some entertainment, dinner and a concert, or whatever strikes your fancy.

Friday 9/11 - Venus opposes Jupiter (1:54 AM) in the early hours of the morning, accenting pleasure and indulgence. Venus/Jupiter loves to live large and spend money but is also very generous and charming in the process. Venus/Jupiter wants to have fun and likes everyone else to enjoy themselves too. Nothing stingy here, especially since the signs involved are Leo and Aquarius.

Pluto goes into its annual retrograde phase (10:55 AM).

This evening the Gemini Moon highlights Jupiter and Venus (Moon trine Jupiter at 6:58 PM and sextile Venus at 8:43 PM) so people are in the mood to get out and have some fun. Someone is throwing a big party tonight.

Saturday 9/12 - It's another grouchy Saturday morning, We've had a run of them lately. The Moon squared Saturn (4:38 AM) and Uranus (5:30 AM) in the wee hours so people are getting up on the wrong side of the bed.

The Moon enters Cancer at 2:20 PM.

Things don't improve as the day progresses, though an afternoon nap might really help. The Moon opposes Pluto at 3:27 PM so it's a good time to disappear for a while. Tonight the Moon squares Mercury (9:41 PM), triggering next week's Mercury/Pluto square so the psychos are out in full force. Mercury/Pluto brings out irrational, compulsive behavior in some, introspection and memories of past losses for others. Last night was the night to go out, not tonight.

Sunday 9/13 - There's a lot of energy available this morning as the Moon conjuncts Mars in Cancer (10:10 AM). Tear into some household chores but try not to micro-manage the family or tempers will flare. Moon/Mars in Cancer tends to make mountains out of molehills and over-react. It's best to work alone now.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon Sep 14th - Sun Sep 23rd

It's an intense week. Last winter's Saturn/Uranus opposition is back in full force. Friday is the New Moon in Virgo and the Sun and Moon line up right on top of this opposition, emphasizing it even further. Retrograde Mercury is back squaring Pluto for a second pass. There'll be one more Mercury/Pluto square coming up on Oct. 10th.

Monday 9/14 - The focus is on taking care on business this morning as the day starts off with an efficient Moon/Saturn sextile (7:41 AM). A simultaneous Moon/Uranus trine (7:57 AM) guarantees a lively pace.

The Moon moves into Leo at 4:39 PM.

This evening is good for communication of all types as the Moon sextiles Mercury at 9:22 PM.

Tuesday 9/15 - Today is the third of five (11/04/08, 2/05/09, 9/15/09, 4/27/09 and 7/27/10) Saturn/Uranus oppositions (6:50 AM).(Please see the new article, The Millennial Shift). Individually, Saturn/Uranus presents a push/pull between the need for a new approach and the inertia of maintaining the status-quo. Expect some growing pains or reminders of changes that need to be made.

Venus opposition Neptune (3:37 PM) is a lot more fun. If the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction triggered key points in your birth chart, you'll get a pleasant lift from this inspirational, heartful alignment.

Wednesday 9/16 - It's a dreamy, cozy little morning. Good feelings abound but it may be hard to get out of bed and get moving (Moon opposition Neptune at 8:37 AM and conjunct Venus in Leo at 10:11 AM). The Moon is triggering yesterday's Venus/Neptune opposition so we are getting its full effect this morning. People are kind and considerate and the world looks somehow more beautiful.

The Moon enters Virgo at 5:56 PM.

Thursday 9/17 - Politics, power trips or just broken machinery and the need for some personal rennovation, today's Sun/Uranus opposition (3:42 AM), Sun/Saturn conjunction (12:22 AM) highlights the Saturn/Uranus opposition in a big way. Something big is brewing but, since Mercury square Pluto (5:40 AM) can be awfully secretive, we may not find out about it for a while, possibly not until Mercury's next square to Pluto on Oct 10th. Mercury's retrograde is taking it back over this nefarious square three times.

Mercury retrogrades back into Virgo (9:26 PM).

Friday 9/18 - Today the Moon is New in Virgo (12:44 PM), and what a New Moon it is. It's two years until the upcoming Uranus/Pluto square is exact but it is already showing up as a potent influence, as this New Moon conjuncts Saturn, the forces of conservatism, opposes Uranus, the push for change, and t-squares Pluto, which is right in the spot-light in the New Moon chart for Washington, DC. Let no power play remain un-played. If the national discourse seems to be degenerating into chaos, that's because it is.

The Moon conjuncts Saturn in Virgo this morning (11:17 AM) so the energy level is low. People may feel over-whelmed and over-worked. Pace yourself and take it easy. Don't ask for favors now as the answer will probably be no, as people don't feel particularly accommodating at the moment.

This afternoon or evening you may run into someone who should probably be taking their medication and isn't. The Moon conjuncts Mercury (5:56 PM) and squares Pluto (8:34 PM), triggering yesterday's Mercury/Pluto square. People's craziness is showing. We can all get a good look at the irrationality of our own inner dialogue now.

The Moon enters Libra at 7:26 PM.

Saturday 9/19 - It looks like smooth sailing today. There are no major lunar aspects until later this evening when the Moon squares Mars (9:45 PM), a rather restless energy that will keep many people up late tonight.

Sunday 9/20 - It's a pleasant Sunday. The Sun conjuncts Mercury (4:05 AM) so the emphasis is on communication, short trips, visiting. This is also a good time for writing and study.

Venus enters Virgo (7:32 AM) this morning, motivating many into fall housecleaning, chores and garden work. Making things beautiful and creating order can be very enjoyable and satisfying.

The pace slows down as a relaxing Moon/Neptune trine kicks in around lunch time (12:44 PM). Take some time to enjoy.

This evening's Venus/Pluto trine (8:56 PM) has a great passion for life and feels things very keenly.

The Moon enters Scorpio at 10:52 PM.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

Mon Sep 21st- Sun Sep 27th

Monday 9/21 - The Moon in Scorpio makes no major aspects today so things are relatively quiet. Tomorrow's Mercury/Saturn conjunction is making itself felt. The mood is subdued and low-key. People are inwardly focused and thoughtful.

Tuesday 9/22 - Mercury conjuncts Saturn (3:08 AM) in the early hours of the morning. This is the second of three passes that Mercury is making over Saturn (8/17, 9/22 & 10/07). With Mercury/Saturn the emphasis is on what is not working, on what needs fixing. This is very similar to last week's Sun/Saturn, Sun/Uranus line-up. This week is a continuation of the same energy and issues we've been dealing with for the last month.

Today is the Autumn Equinox. The Sun enters Libra at 3:19 PM so fall is officially here.

Despite the heaviness of the Mercury/Saturn influence this is an active, busy day. Things get off to an early start as the Scorpio Moon trines Mars (5:16 AM) and squares Jupiter (7:03 AM). People are putting on a pleasant face whether this reflects their true feelings or not.

Energy levels drop at the end of the day as the Moon approaches a square to Neptune (6:45 PM). People just want to hole up and be quiet and rest for a while. After a brief respite the mood brightens up.

The evening hours are alert, mentally sharp and focused. This is a good time to come to grips with Mercury/Saturn and make some headway with whatever problems it has been presenting (Moon trine Uranus at 7:12 PM, sextile Mercury at 8:06 PM and Saturn at 9:32 PM).

Wednesday 9/23 - The Moon enters Sagittarius at 5:43 AM.

There will be some unexpected power plays today. The Sun squares Pluto (8:21 AM) indicating people won't hesitate to use their clout to get what they want. There's a tendency to be heavy-handed and overbearing.

The element of surprise comes from today's Mercury/Uranus opposition (9:37 AM), also one of three passes, also connected to last week's alignments. Mercury may simply be announcing plans that were being cooked up at that time.

The Sagittarius Moon squares Venus in Virgo around noon (1:14 PM) so there's an under-current of frustration here. People want to make headway and are tired of niggling about the details.

Thursday 9/24 - The energy is much more expansive and relaxed today. The Moon sextiles Jupiter this afternoon (3:55 PM) so people are friendly and inclusive, focusing more on the big picture and common ground than on differences and dissension.

Friday 9/25 - Yesterday's good mood didn't have a lot of traction. It's back to the grind today as the Sag Moon t-squares Mercury (2:30 AM), Uranus (4:58 AM) and Saturn (8:15 AM). Most of this is happening as we sleep so people are waking up to the Moon/Saturn square, feeling low energy and out of sorts.

The Moon enters Capricorn at 4:19 PM and conjuncts Pluto shortly thereafter (5:44 PM) so the mood doesn't get a whole lot better as the day progresses. Thank goodness it's Friday.

Saturday 9/26 - Things feel a lot better today. The day starts with a gentle Moon/Venus trine (7:01 AM). People are kindly but bent on achievement as the practical earth signs are being emphasized.

Sunday 9/27 - There's a bit of a push/pull this morning between the desire to hole up at home and a sense of duty about what you feel you "should" be doing (Cap Moon opposition Mars in Cancer at 8:24 AM). People are snappish and cranky.

By noon the mood has gotten a lot more friendly (Moon trine Mercury at 12:35). This is a good time to get out for some socializing and visiting. People are ready to talk and share their thoughts and a bit of fun (Moon sextile Uranus at 5:21 PM).

It's an early evening. A Moon/Saturn trine (9:33 PM) puts the focus on preparing for the coming week's demands and obligations.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

Mon Sep 28th- Sun Oct 4th

Monday 9/28
-
The Moon enters Aquarius at 5:07 AM.

A trine between the Libra Sun and the Moon in Aquarius (5:13 PM) end a quiet day on a harmonious note.

Tuesday 9/29 - After a tumultuous retrograde, Mercury goes direct (7:14 AM) this morning. It goes direct right on top of a sextile to Mars, prolonging it into a week-long event. Mercury also will be finishing up its three passes to a series of recent contacts with a final opposition to Uranus (10/04/09), conjunction to Saturn (10/07/09), and another square to Pluto (10/10/09). But that is all yet to come.

Today we are happily experiencing a brief high as the Moon conjuncts Jupiter in Aquarius at 4:26 PM. This conjunction has been a spectacular feature of the night sky this week as the quarter moon has been approaching a very bright Jupiter in the southern sky.

Wednesday 9/30 - It's a sleepy, slow moving morning as the Moon conjuncts Neptune (5:34 AM). People are distracted and spaced out but also relaxed and friendly.

The Moon enters Pisces at 5:28 PM.

The mood is quiet and somewhat withdrawn this evening as the Pisces Moon sextiles Pluto (6:55 PM). This energy is also very focused so this is a good time to make headway on a special project.

Thursday 10/01 - Mercury sextiles Mars (12:02 AM) just after midnight, and is in effect for the rest of the week. Mercury/Mars is very mental, verbal and busy. There is lots to do, lots to say and a lot of ground to cover this week.

There are no major lunar aspects until tonight's Moon/Venus opposition (9:08 PM). The Moon in Pisces wants to relax but Virgo Venus has a to-do list that can cause some minor friction.

Friday 10/02 - It's a stressful Friday. People are edgy, moving fast and accident-prone. The morning is fine but around noon the pace quickens. You may find yourself so over-committed that it's impossible to cover all your bases. Better cancel something or by the time the Moon conjuncts Uranus (4:02 PM) you'll be spinning in place. Look for more than the usual amount of rush hour fender-benders.

Once things calm down the mood turns grumpy or just plain exhausted. Don't make special plans, as tonight's Moon/Saturn opposition (9:29 PM) is a real party-pooper.

Saturday 10/03 - The Moon moves into Aries at 3:21 AM. We're sailing into a high octane Aries Full Moon that, along with the Mercury/Mars sextile, should energize this day even though there's not a lot going on aspect-wise.

Sunday 10/04 - There's certainly quite a line-up today with three major aspects and the Full Moon, which happens just after midnight in 11° Aries (12:10 AM).

Mercury sextiles Mars (5:37 AM) again. This was a good week to tackle a writing project (or argue all week). There's so much mental energy that it may be hard to sleep past dawn.

The morning mellows out nicely as the Aries Moon moves into a sextile to expansive Jupiter (11:27 AM). Today's line-up creates a feeling of wanderlust, the desire to get out and do something a little different.

Mercury opposes Uranus (3:06 PM) for a third and final time. Some change that's been pending since the first pass (8/21/09) is here to stay, though you may just be finding out about it now.

We get a big burst of energy as Mars trines Uranus (7:38 PM), re-enforcing today's emphasis on Uranus. There's a strong urge for more personal freedom and people may be making changes that seem sudden, though they've probably been incubating since the end of August.

There's friction tonight as the Aries Moon squares Mars in Cancer (11:46 PM), both placements known for their quick tempers. Sometimes Aries likes to fight just for the fun of it but Cancer Mars won't easily forget things said and done in the heat of the moment. Makes going to bed early sound like a real good option. Just make sure that candles are blown out and you didn't leave anything on the stove, this is a fiery combo.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.
