Monday
03/15
- This
is a week of sudden upsets and unexpected events. Hold on to your
hat and get ready for a rollercoaster ride. The key is to stay flexible
and keep an open mind. Things that seem disastrous at first may
turn out to be for the best in the long run.
The Moon is New in 25 degrees Pisces (3:01 PM). This
New Moon highlights the Saturn/Uranus/Pluto t-square which
will be the dominant influence for most of the year. Looking at
the New Moon chart for Washington DC, it looks like the economic
crisis will be back on the front page.
Mercury conjuncts Uranus (3:41 PM), the planet of surprises.
Just when you thought things were going one way, suddenly it's all
different. Mercury/Uranus can be that "Eureka!" moment when
a brilliant flash of insight illuminates your mind or too much current
can have you shooting sparks. People are changing their minds, sometimes
several times a day. Communications may be disrupted.
Uranus is associated with earthquakes and is under considerable
stress these days as it gets an opposition from Saturn and a square
from Pluto. Later this summer, Jupiter will be joining the action
when it conjuncts Uranus, an alignment that happens every 13 years
or so, but this time should be exceptional because of all the stress
that Uranus is under. It already is exceptional. I read a scientific
article the other day about the unusual number of large earthquakes
that have occurred in the past few months. The scientists called
it a coincidence. . .
This week has all the indications of another massive earthquake,
apart from the major rumbling going on down in Chile.
The
Moon triggers all this, this afternoon, when it conjuncts Uranus
(5:38 PM) and Mercury (6:01 PM).
Tuesday
03/16
- The
Moon enters Aries at 12:32 AM.
People are rather pushy and demanding this morning as the Aries
Moon squares Pluto (10:54 AM). Some are willing to go to extremes
to have their way. There can be a certain ruthlessness about this
alignment. If you engage an opponent now expect them to use every
dirty trick in the book. Tonight's Moon/Venus conjunction (12:08
Wed AM) can be a loving and tender alignment but in the sign of
Aries it is wrathful and warlike.
Wednesday
03/17
- Today's
Sun/Uranus conjunction (12:51 AM) codifies the changes Mercury
announced on Monday. This is revolutionary stuff. Uranus is knocking
on the door, demanding that changes be made. Of course, not everyone
is affected but if Uranus is triggering your personal astrology
in a big way the message is, "Change your life or it will be changed
for you".
Mercury enters Aries (10:12 AM). Aries does love to argue.
The Aries symbolism of two young rams butting heads says it all.
It's a competitive test of strength and also fun and games, if you're
a ram.
Mercury trine Mars (5:33 PM) refines this a bit. Mars is
the ruling planet of Aries and it fires up Mercury, already heated
by its current placement in Aries. The trine calms things down to
a low roar, it's a debate instead of a shouting match.
Thursday
03/18
- Mercury opposition Saturn (5:04 AM) is sober, serious
and usually downright depressing. Some people received a rather
serious shock this week and, now that the dust is settling, depression
sets in. The best way to deal with Mercury/Saturn is to jump
into a task that requires a lot of mental discipline and focus.
It will help take your mind off the other stuff.
The
Moon enters Taurus at 10:29 AM.
The
morning gets off to a slow start but by mid morning things have
heated up considerably as the Moon squares Mars in Leo (11:46 AM).
Leo Mars is upset by perceived disrespect but Taurus Moon is probably
just on automatic pilot, going about things as usual. Realize that
folks are a bit temperamental this morning.
Friday
03/19
-
Finally,
a cheerful day. The Moon sextiles Jupiter in gentle Pisces (1:36
PM) and people are feeling good, maybe just because it's almost
the weekend and this week is finally over.
Saturday
03/20
- Mercury square Pluto (2:16 AM) tends to brood and obsess
over past wrongs and current grievances. Last night's dreams may
have reflected this. Some quiet time spent in serious self-analysis
is the only productive way to deal with Mercury/Pluto. Plotting
your revenge is another way.
It's
the Spring Equinox! Already and finally, this year is going
even faster than last year. Maybe that's because the earth is now
spinning some micro-seconds faster since the big earthquake. The
Sun enters Aries at 11:32 AM and, after we shake off the shadow
of last night's Mercury/Pluto square, it turns into a lively and
interesting day. The Moon sextiles Uranus (12:33 PM) just after
noon so it's time to get out and find something fun to do.
The
Moon moves into Gemini at 6:28 PM.
The
evening is energized by a Moon/Mars sextile (8:10 PM) so people
are still going strong though things are a bit subdued by a strong
Saturnian undertone, reminding us of our limitations (probably financial).
Sunday
03/21
-
It's
a talkative morning. People want to chat even before that first
cup of coffee as the Gemini Moon sextiles Mercury (8:51 AM). It's
a fun and friendly morning.
Today's
Sun/Mars trine (11:54 AM) is very physically active. Get
out for some vigorous exercise. It will make you feel better.
This
evening's Sun/Saturn opposition (6:37 PM) reminds us of our
problems, responsibilities, etc. but a Moon/Jupiter square (9:33
PM) helps people put on a happy face and brush those worries under
the rug, for the time being.

All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight
Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major
influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily
aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only
a few hours.
