Mars
in Leo is approaching Saturn in Leo. They'll conjunct on June
17th but will still be influencing things for a couple of weeks
afterwards. Leo is the sign of fun, playfulness and recreation
(though this is not exclusively Leo territory - Gemini comes to
mind also) so Mars/Saturn's harsh, demanding energy indicates
that mid June won't be much fun. This is not the time to plan
the family vacation or any parties or weddings. It's more of a
nose to the grindstone, bite the bullet time. Mars/Saturn is about
hard work and harsh circumstances. This is like knocking on a
door that won't open, its time to take the hint and look elsewhere
for opportunity. This is a good time to finish up old projects,
deal with the past and let go of situations whose time has come.
Its a time of endings.
The
Mars/Saturn conjunction happens right on top of George Bush's
ascendant/Mercury/Pluto. There are two ways that this can play
out. It certainly will be the greatest crisis in his presidency
and may be a dramatic fall from power or it could be that the
crisis precipitates a power grab that finally destroys any semblance
of checks and balances in our system of government. The image
that comes to mind is Napoleon grabbing the crown from the Pope's
hands when he was being crowned Emperor of France and placing
it on his head with his own hands. Is George W about to declare
himself the first Monarch of America?
How would this happen? For one thing, the dollar is on the verge
of collapse. Iran has been threatening to start trading oil in
Euros which many believe will be the final straw that tumbles
the vastly over-valued dollar. This is Iran's real crime.
GW's
popularity is at an all time low so another terrorist attack would
certainly be helpful to him at this time. He could pass laws that
finally sound the death knell for the Bill of Rights and give
him the support to institute a universal draft.
Normally
a Mars/Saturn opposition would not be such a big deal, after all
this is an aspect that happens about every two years or so. What
makes this so significant is the way it triggers the President's
chart.
