 Mon June 30th - Sun July 6th

Monday 6/30 - Moon entered Gemini at 2:03 AM.

It's another slow Monday. The Moon squares Saturn at 9:14 AM so people don't greet this day with much enthusiasm. The mood is somber and serious. There are responsibilities and looming problems that need to be dealt with. Mars trines Pluto this afternoon (4:53 PM) giving us the strength and determination to deal with whatever issues the upcoming Mars/Saturn conjunction (July 10th) is presenting us with.

Tuesday 7/01 - This morning we're making up for yesterday's slow pace. The Moon conjuncts Mercury at 7:37 AM so people are up and out early. This is a good morning to make contact. Reach out and communicate.

Mars enters Virgo today (10:21 AM). It's time to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Mars in Virgo has a great work ethic and a can do attitude that isn't afraid to get a little dirty in the process.

Things are a bit erratic this afternoon as the Moon squares impatient Uranus. People want results yesterday and can shoot themselves in the foot by moving too fast. It's a one step forward, two steps back situation. Try and keep your cool.

Things mellow out pretty quickly as the Moon moves into a friendly trine to Neptune in Aquarius (4:13 PM). Time to chill. Moon/Neptune has a philosophical attitude and is willing to wait for results.

Wednesday 7/02 - The Moon moves into Cancer at 1:53 AM.

Wednesday gets off to a sober start as the Moon sextiles Saturn. There is work to do and problems to confront but the sextile is a sunny aspect that helps us take a positive attitude toward getting things accomplished.

The Moon is New in Cancer this evening at 8:19 PM. This is a lovely New Moon, setting the stage for a wonderful month, even if we are dealing with the limitations indicated by the upcoming Mars/Saturn conjunction (July 10th). The New Moon conjuncts Venus, falling right on top of tonight's Venus/Jupiter opposition (11:18 PM) and extending its influence throughout the month. People will be feeling good despite themselves.

Venus/Jupiter promotes a joyful, optimistic attitude that attracts good fortune. The only caution is the tendency to over-optimism and overspending. Jupiter expands Venus, so feelings of love and an appreciation of the beauty in our lives are on the upswing, as is the ability to enjoy life. This would be a great time to get married or buy a home, just be sure you don't spend more than you can afford.

Thursday 7/03 - What a delightful day. Looks like the long holiday weekend starts this morning. People wake up full of anticipation and enthusiasm as the Moon opposes Jupiter (7:03 AM) and things just get better when the Moon conjuncts lovely Venus (7:50 AM). As this lineup is in Cancer/Capricorn, there's a great appreciation of home and family. People are being especially kind to each other now.

All this Venus/Jupiter influence is rather lazy though, so don't expect much action until this afternoon when the Moon trines electric Uranus (2:13 PM) and people get motivated. Time to get out and about for some summer fun.

Friday 7/04 - Happy 4th of July. There are no major lunar aspects today so we're coasting on yesterday's good vibes. The Moon moved into sunny Leo at 2:15 AM.

Saturday 7/05 - Mercury squares Uranus at 5:07 AM indicating unexpected news and sudden changes of plan. Play it by ear today. Go with the flow and serendipity may bring something delightful your way. (Do watch your driving though, Mercury/Uranus is accident prone).

The Moon sextiles friendly Mercury later this afternoon (5:20 PM). Get together with the gang and celebrate the summer. OK, who's the dedicated driver? You're going to need one this evening as the Moon opposes Neptune (6:22 PM), an aspect noted for its tendency toward overindulgence .

Sunday 7/06 - Mercury trines dreamy Neptune early this morning (4:47 AM) giving the weekend a rather dreamlike feeling, like you've got one foot in reality and the other in heaven or outer space, depending on your own proclivities. Dreams can come true under aspects like these.

The Moon enters Virgo at 5:04 AM and into a conjunction with active Mars (10:18 AM). Looks like there are some chores that need taking care of before the weekend is over. People are in high gear this morning. You can get an amazing amount done in a short time with this much energy, just don't push too hard.

Well, work is finished, so now you can get back to some serious playtime. Venus trines Uranus (12:32 PM) just after noon. If it's not done by now, it will have to wait until another day. Venus/Uranus wants to do its own thing and go its own way. This is a very independent aspect. There's more fun waiting this afternoon but many will just be too tired to do much as the Moon conjuncts debilitating Saturn around 2 PM. People are tired and its probably time to pack it up and head for home.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

  Mon July 7th - Sun July 13th

Monday 7/07 - This Monday starts the week off on a high note. A pleasant, positive mood prevails and people are friendly and agreeable as the Virgo Moon sextiles the Sun (9:23 AM) and trines Jupiter (12:40 PM).

Tonight is rather unpredictable. A restless, edgy mood has folks feeling impatient and temperamental. A Moon/Uranus opposition at 9:44 PM will be keeping us up late, brains spinning with ideas and anxieties. Work on a pet project or get out for a change of scene.

Tuesday 7/08 - .An undercurrent of tension and emotional disturbance roils the waters this morning as the Moon squares Mercury (4:57 AM) and Pluto (10:21 AM). It may be hard to put your finger on exactly what the problem is. It lurks below the conscious surface. Listening to the tape loop in your head that keeps repeating some crazy message will give you a hint to what your psyche is trying to reveal, a part of yourself that's crying out for attention and love.

The Moon moves into Libra at 11:31 AM.

Wednesday 7/09 - Today's Sun/Jupiter opposition (12:39 AM) likes to put its best foot forward and make nice. Sun/Jupiter is known as a pleasant but rather hypocritical alignment. People don't say what they mean or feel but what they think others want to hear. This results in insincere compliments and overly effusive BS. If you need to kiss up, this is the day to do it; on the other hand, don't believe everything you hear right now.

The Moon triggers the Sun/Jupiter opposition tonight when it squares Jupiter (8:46 PM) and the Sun (10:35 PM) so there's lots of blarney and blather blowing in the wind.

Thursday 7/10 - Tonight's Mercury/Pluto opposition (3:49 AM) indicates that yesterday's Sun/Jupiter opposition rhetoric may be less than benign. A very ill intentioned con may be in the process. Someone is lying their head off or possibly just hiding the truth with a lie of omission. It's also easy to lie to yourself under this combination. Try and keep it real and at least be honest with yourself, even if circumstance may require otherwise.

Mars has been creeping up on Saturn for a couple of weeks now, emphasizing severe shortages and a lack of resources. Today's Mars/Saturn conjunction (12:12 AM) is an aspect that indicates harsh circumstances and bitter people. Many folks are feeling pushed to the point of desperation and some resort to acts of desperation. Try and keep your compassion intact but be on your guard nonetheless. As Mars moves relatively slowly, we'll be feeling this one for at least another week.

Mercury enters Cancer (2:17 PM) so we abandon Geminian logic for Cancer's emotionality and defensiveness. It's easy to be swept away by our emotions while Mercury is in Cancer because it can be hard to think straight now. This alignment is good for creativity (especially music) and family concern but probably not a great time (7/10 - 7/25) for making important business or financial decisions.

The Moon enters Scorpio at 9:35 PM.

Friday 7/11 - This day starts with an air of firm determination and a stiff upper lip. Many will need to bite the bullet and deal with some difficult circumstance. It's a hard work type of morning as the Scorpio Moon sextiles Saturn (8:34 AM) and Mars (9:28 AM). There are no other important aspects today so most will be too tired to do much tonight.

Saturday 7/12 - Thank goodness for the weekend. It's been a tough week and folks need to rest and recoup. The morning starts out sweetly with a Moon/Jupiter sextile (7:41 AM). As the signs involved are Scorpio and Capricorn the mood is private and rather intimate.

Venus enters Leo around noon (12:39 PM) and people are ready to come out of hiding in search of a little fun.

The afternoon is harmonious and entertaining as the Scorpio Moon makes a soothing grand trine to the Sun in Cancer (3:24 PM) and Uranus in Pisces (6:47 PM). The healing waters of love comfort our bruised psyches.

Sunday 7/13 - The Moon moves into Sagittarius at 9:50 AM and into a trine with lovely Venus (12:17 AM). There's passion here and renewed energy for life. Get out and enjoy the day. Sag loves to be active in the great outdoors. Take a hike or go biking, it's free! The energy level tanks tonight as the Moon squares depressing Saturn (9:31 PM). The weekend is over and reality hits like a pie in the face. (Actually the coming week looks a lot better than last; so don't take it too hard.) .

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon July 14th - Sun July 20th

Monday 7/14 - The week gets off to an industrious beginning as Mercury in Cancer sextiles last week's Mars/Saturn conjunction over the next two days. It's easier to focus on the task at hand and make some real progress, especially with anything involving mental work, study, writing or communication. The mood can be somewhat overly serious seeing that Saturn is involved but today's Sun/Uranus trine (9:03 AM) helps lift the energy, promoting self-expression and a feeling that new and creative possibilities can lead to more independence and personal freedom. Self-employment seems more realistic as the job market continues to shrink.

Tuesday 7/15 - People are moving a little too quickly this morning as the Sagittarius Moon squares Uranus (7:19 AM). Grumpy, impatient and easy to anger, this aspect is a warning to slow down before some outside circumstance stops us in our tracks. Machinery has a way of acting up under this alignment.

By 9:35 AM tempers have mellowed and things have slowed way down as the Moon sextiles soothing Neptune.

Today's Mercury/Mars sextile (3:11 PM) has our brains buzzing with ideas and information we're eager to communicate. People crave interaction, discussion, even argument now.

This evening's Moon/Pluto conjunction in Sag (8:43 PM) can really polarize the argument as both sides dig in their heels and neither is inclined towards compromise. If your looking to find the middle ground, better wait until the mood is more conducive (like this weekend when Mercury opposes Jupiter).

The Moon enters Capricorn at 10:20 PM.

Wednesday 7/16 - The tone is very businesslike and serious today. The Capricorn Moon trines Saturn (10:24 AM) and Mars (4:40 PM) so it's nose to the grindstone. Hard work helps keep our financial anxieties at bay but the market may not be too happy about things. This is not a great day to approach people with requests.

This evening's Moon/Mercury opposition (7:48 PM) is inclined toward wrangling about money matters. Supposedly practical arguments contain an underlying emotional content that precludes resolution; like arguing about who didn't take the trash out when the issue is really about something else entirely.

Thursday 7/17 - The mood is bright and cheerful this morning. The Moon conjuncts Jupiter at 7:01 AM and if you've managed to refrain from venting this last couple of days, this is the moment to approach people and get the positive outcome you've been hoping for. This evening is interesting and entertaining as the Moon sextiles Uranus (6:57 PM). Get out for a change of scene and a bit of diversion. Watch that Full Moon rise because tonight's the night.

Friday 7/18 - The Moon is Full in 26° Capricorn just after midnight (1:59 AM). This Full Moon falls close to the Mercury/Jupiter opposition, highlighting its optimistic nature. The Full Moon trine/sextiles Uranus, accenting its resourceful, innovative qualities. People are coming up with innovative, new strategies to deal with the financial limitations that most of us are dealing with these days.

The Moon moves into Aquarius at 9:40 AM.

Saturday 7/19 - This weekend is happy and upbeat. People are in a good mood and focusing on the positive. Count your blessings, you'll find you've got a lot to feel grateful for. Today's Mercury opposition to Jupiter (1:54 PM) is an optimistic, outgoing influence. This can get a little overly exuberant with a tendency to overestimate your possibilities so tie a string to your toe so someone can catch you if you start to float away; still it's a welcome change from the somber attitudes we've been dealing with recently. This is a great day for a party or some other festive occasion.

Sunday 7/20 - It's a quiet, sleepy morning as a Moon/Neptune conjunction (6:55 AM) has people lingering in dreamland. This is a good day to just relax and take it easy. The afternoon picks up a little but people are enjoying their privacy or intimate conversation with a few good friends (Moon sextile Pluto at 5:25 PM).

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon July 21st - Sun July 27th

Monday 7/21 - Shades of the Mars/Saturn conjunction color this day as the Moon in Pisces opposes Saturn in the morning (7:25 AM) and Mars (6:00 PM) later in the day. Struggles with financial and energy shortages claim our attention today. Physical energy levels are low and health issues may be a concern now.

Tuesday 7/22 - The Sun enters Leo in the early morning hours (4:55 AM). In general, those with birthdays in the first degrees of Leo will fare better in the coming year than those whose birthdays fall in the middle and later part of the sign. Still, we'll all be feeling the impact of the changes August will bring to some degree.

For all that, today is a delightful day, so different than yesterday. A refreshing change of attitude invigorates and inspires us. The Pisces Moon trines Mercury in Cancer (12:06 PM) at midday, encouraging people to reach out with friendship and mutual support. The Moon conjuncts dynamic Uranus at almost the same time (12:35 PM) highlighting today's Mercury/Uranus trine (3:10 PM).

Mercury/Uranus is exciting, inventive and intuitive. Answers to existing problems can suddenly pop into our brains, seemingly out of the blue. This can be like getting the answer to a math problem without having done the equation, then working backward from the answer to see how the equation should look. A large part of Mercury/Uranus' brilliance comes from a heightened ability to observe and synthesize all the information available. Like a flash of lightening, suddenly we know; and, under Mercury/Uranus, there even seems to be more electricity in the air.

Wednesday 7/23 - The Moon enters Aries at 2:22 AM.

The Aries Moon trines the Leo Sun early this morning (4:02 AM) making the only major aspect of the day. People wake up feeling at ease and generally optimistic. All this fire energy is energizing and inspiring.

Thursday 7/24 - The Moon squares Jupiter in Capricorn (6:06 AM). Aries/Capricorn combinations are ambitious and competitive. Jupiter's influence softens the presentation, giving it a friendly face. Still we begin this day with certain goals in mind and a determination to accomplish.

The evening is laid back as the Moon sextiles mellow Neptune (7:51 PM). Enjoyment is heightened but there's not much drive to do anything.

Friday 7/25 - The morning starts with a thoughtful, introspective tone as the Moon trines Pluto (5:30 AM).

The Moon moves into Taurus at 7:14 AM.

There's a bit of tension around noon when the Taurus Moon squares the Leo Sun (12:42 PM). People are feeling rather stubborn and intractable now. Coax, don't shove.

The mood is serious this evening as the Moon trines Saturn (7:20 PM). Many will decide to work late getting things wrapped up for the weekend.

Saturday 7/26 - This day looks like a real powerhouse, full of energy, enthusiasm and high spirits. Mercury moves into sunny Leo at 5:48 AM, lifting people's spirits. The mood is more outgoing and optimistic now. At it's best Mercury in Leo is charming, playful and creative (and at it's worst, pompous and proud). It's project time.

The Taurus Moon makes a grand trine with Mars in Virgo (9:00 AM) and Jupiter in Capricorn (9:21 AM) this morning. This is a very industrious, results oriented alignment. There's something we want to accomplish today but it looks like the process will be enjoyable and satisfying.

Things ease up after noon when the Moon squares lazy Venus (12:32 PM). It's time to relax and enjoy the fruits of our labors. Maybe enjoy a little siesta in the heat of the day.

Things pick up again later in the afternoon when Mars trines Jupiter (4:04 PM). This aspect abounds with exuberant energy and optimism. It is also noted for a fortunate sense of timing that puts one in the right place at the right time for maximum benefit.

This is a good time to make long range plans or begin a new enterprise. The evening looks like fun as the Moon makes a sextile to exciting Uranus (9:05 PM). Get out and shake a leg.

Sunday 7/27 - The Moon moves into Gemini at 9:55 AM.

People are in a extroverted, playful mood this afternoon as the Gemini Moon sextiles Mercury (2:44 PM) and the Sun in Leo (6:44 PM).

The energy level tanks rapidly this evening as that tired feeling sets in when the Moon moves into a square with dreary Saturn (9:59 PM). Give it up and go to bed early .

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

Mon July 28th - Sun Aug 3rd

Monday 7/28 - It's a busy Monday. A mid day Moon/Mars square (1:02 PM) sets a frantic pace. People are irritable and impatient. It's a case of the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get. Try and keep your cool.

Early evening calms things down when the Gemini Moon makes a soothing sextile to Venus in Leo (6:50 PM). The mood is friendly and social.

But that angry edge is back later tonight when a Moon/Uranus square (10:32 PM) reminds us of the day's irritations. This is an accident prone aspect. Might as well hang it up and go to bed before the fireworks start.

Tuesday 7/29 - People are moody and uncommunicative this morning as the Moon opposes Pluto (9:25 AM). Tread lightly and hold the criticism until you can find a way to put things tactfully.

The Moon enters Cancer at 11:12 AM.

Today's Sun/Mercury conjunction (2:05 PM) really does favor communication; it's just that the morning was a better time to consider what you wanted to say than to actually deliver the message.

The evening is serious and sober minded. The Moon's sextile to Saturn (11:29 PM) has people mulling over practical and business matters.

Wednesday 7/30 - There's an upbeat tone to this day. People wake up feeling more optimistic and energized. The Moon opposes Jupiter in Capricorn (11:28 AM) making this a good time to make business contacts. People are polite but you may have to read between the lines to discover what's really being said.

Energy levels are high (Moon sextile Mars at 4:13 PM) and folks are going strong late into the evening (Moon trine Uranus at 11:30 PM). This is a good night to get out on the town for a little entertainment.

Thursday 8/01 - Venus opposition Neptune (10:30 AM) is lovely and loving aspect with great delicacy of feeling and compassion. The world takes on an almost ethereal beauty as we consider the possibilities and disconnect from the banalities and bring-downs of mundane reality. Art, dance and music are favored as Venus/Neptune supplies the inspiration to create.

The Moon enters Leo at 12:22 PM.

Friday 8/02 - August begins with New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo (4:13 AM). This is a total eclipse of the sun but its totality will only be visible in the extreme northern parts of Canada, the Arctic, China and Russia. It will be visible as a partial eclipse in the far northeastern corner of the US and throughout much of Europe and Asia.

The New Moon conjuncts Mercury in Leo but doesn't really connect with any of the other planets so this happy-go-lucky Leo influence is a strange disconnect from the rest of what is going on in the heavens right now. Leo, the sign of royalty, could be said to represent the privileged classes with a "Let them eat cake" reaction to the events of the next couple of weeks. The latent violence of the upcoming Mars/Uranus opposition (8/06/08) will be making itself felt next week. Already LA has experienced an earthquake (a not unusual Mars/Uranus manifestation) and one wonders if there is not more to follow.

Saturday 8/03 - The Moon conjuncts Venus (7:19 AM) highlighting Thursday's Venus/Neptune opposition and spreading its influence, like a sprinkling of rainbow light over our early morning dream state. It's a magical morning. This is definitely a day to throw out your list of chores and follow your heart.

There's an air of determination and dedication to an ideal today as the Leo Moon trines Pluto in Sag (12:59 PM).

The Moon enters Virgo at 2:59 PM.

Sunday 8/04 - This morning is the opposite of yesterday. The Virgo Moon conjuncts depressing Saturn in the early morning hours (4:58 AM) so people wake up with a feeling of anxiety or disappointment worrying them. Energy levels are low so take it slow and nourish yourself today.

Things pick up this afternoon when the Moon trines Jupiter (4:16 PM), rejuvenating our bodies and minds and what started out as a gloomy day turns out to be quite nice after all.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.
