Monday
01/11
- The
Sun conjuncts Venus in 21 degrees Capricorn (2:05 PM). The Capricorns
among us should be shining brightly now as the Sun and Venus have
them looking their charming best. This conjunction puts special
focus on social position and recognition in the arts. Capricorn
has a lot of ambition and the Sun/Venus combo gives you an opening
to make headway now.
Later today a Moon/Mars trine (6:48 PM) in the fire signs (Sag and
Leo) inspires enthusiasm for an active evening.
Tuesday
01/12
- It's
a hectic morning. Moon square Uranus (8:52 AM) may be frustrating
and accident-prone. Machinery, especially cars, can have problems
at moments like this and things do not go as planned.
Ruffled
feathers are soothed by noon when the Moon sextiles Neptune (11:53
AM) and Jupiter (7:43 PM) so the rest of the day is calm, positive
and outgoing. The Moon/Jupiter sextile makes this a good evening
for a bit of socializing, maybe even a celebration is called for.
The Moon moves into Capricorn at 9:54 PM.
Wednesday
01/13
- It's
a dynamic day. Energy has been building since late last night when
Venus (2:49 AM) sextiled Uranus. This exciting combo
creates interesting and unusual circumstances with fun parties and
fascinating people coming out to play.
Contrarily,
the morning gets off to a late start as a Moon/Saturn square (7:10
AM) has people feeling low energy and sluggish. Negativity and depression
are triggered by a Moon/Mercury conjunction (9:35 AM) that is keying
into the Saturn/Pluto square. So, what does this mean? Party last
night and hangover this morning? Manic highs and lows? Blood sugar
imbalance? Certainly, it is a day full of contradictions. People
will experience one side of this more than the other depending on
how it sets off your own personal astrology.
Saturn goes into its yearly retrograde cycle (8:58
AM).
Later this morning the Sun joins Venus in its sextile
to Uranus (11:43 AM) so there's change in the wind. Sun/Uranus
facilitates progress and changes come more easily now. There's a
strong drive for more personal freedom and creative expression and
people are willing to take chances to achieve this.
Thursday
01/14
- Usually
the period just before the New Moon is quiet and inwardly focused
but with all the Uranian energy in play that is not the case right
now. Though the day is relatively uneventful, it's another rocking
evening as the Moon sextiles Uranus (9:09 PM). Uranus is a very
mental energy, sometimes called the higher octave of Mercury, and
for those not given to partying, all this Uranian influence may
have you up late brainstorming, working on some exciting new idea
or project.
Friday
01/15
-
Just
after midnight the Moon is New in 25 degrees Capricorn (12:11
AM). This New Moon occurs right on top of Venus, emphasizing the
Sun/Venus forecast that started this week (read Monday).
Mercury
goes direct (9:52 AM). Don't expect the typical Mercury retrograde
obstacles to clear up right away. Mercury pauses as it goes direct
and it is now very close to Pluto and its square to Saturn. If anything
Mercury going direct brings a more conscious confrontation with
Saturn/Pluto and the issues it represents. Saturn will be making
its second square to Pluto on January 31st so all this is coming
right up.
The
Moon enters Aquarius at 10:17 AM.
Saturday
01/16
- The
afternoon is busy, too busy. People get temperamental and snappish
trying to cover all their commitments as the Moon opposes Mars (4:13
PM). Try not to put things off until the last minute as unexpected
obstacles may arise.
Sunday
01/17
-
It's
a dreamy day, time to rest and recuperate from a wild week. Not
much gets accomplished now, except maybe a good sleep, a long hot
bath and a bit of daydreaming. The Moon conjuncts Neptune early
this afternoon (1:23 PM) and Jupiter at 11:22 PM, This is a good
time to set some goals for the new year and contemplate the changes
you would like to make in your life.
Jupiter
moves into Pisces (7:11 PM). After spending a year in Aquarius,
Jupiter will move through Pisces rather quickly. By early June,
Jupiter will already be entering Aries where it joins up with Uranus.
Uranus goes into Aries on May 27th after spending approximately
7 years in Pisces. Jupiter and Uranus will be moving in tandem for
a while. Their conjunction is one of the signature aspects of 2010,
just as Jupiter/Neptune was a hallmark of 2009.
They
move a little way into Aries then both planets go into retrograde
and move back into Pisces together, so those with birthdays at the
end of Pisces will get an extra boost from this dynamic duo.
Just
as Jupiter was magnifying the mystical qualities of Neptune last
year, it will soon be amplifying Uranus. The keyword that comes
to mind for Uranus is change. Though we've been dealing with lots
of changes this past decade, hold on to your hat. Summer 2010 will
bring an accelerated rate of change. More on this later.
In
the meantime, we get to enjoy the soothing qualities of Jupiter
in Pisces. Compassion and kindness are some of the wonderful characteristics
associated with Pisces Jupiter. Jupiter in Pisces is in many
ways similar to Jupiter and Neptune conjunct, so we get a bit of
an extension of that energy, at least until Jupiter meets up with
Uranus this summer.
For
Pisces, Jupiter's passage through your sign brings a time of opportunity
and recognition. It marks the beginning of a new 12-year cycle of
endeavor. Pay attention to the opportunities that come your way
now. Rise to the occasion. Don't put things on hold while you make
up your mind. These offers will not wait around indefinitely.
