 Mon Feb 1st - Sun Feb 7th

Monday 02/01 - The focus is on business, planning and practical communication today as the Virgo Moon trines Mercury in Capricorn (12:12 PM).

The evening hours are energized by a Moon/Uranus opposition (9:17 PM). This can be exciting or stressful depending on how Uranus is effecting your own personal astrology. Virgo/Pisces oppositions can get nit-picky and hypercritical.

Tuesday 02/02 - The Moon enters Libra at 6:42 AM.

The day turns sour early this afternoon when the Libra Moon conjuncts Saturn (1:48 PM) and squares Pluto (2:00 PM) shortly thereafter, triggering Sunday's Saturn/Pluto square. There's an oppressive emotional tone hanging over us like a thick cloud. Issues that come up around this are probably going to be about limitation, confinement and obstruction. More than any other alignment Saturn/Pluto acts as the hand of a cruel fate or inescapable destiny. Expect a lot of neurotic behavior and acting out. Not the day to ask people for favors.

Wednesday 02/03 - Things are much more pleasant today as the Moon trines the Sun (7:14 AM) and Venus in Aquarius (5:30 PM). People are eager for a feeling of community, agreement about shared concerns and support. This is the day to reach out to friends.

All the input can get a little overwhelming around 7 PM when information overload sets in. The Moon squares Mercury and words begin to lose their meaning amidst all the blather. It's time for some nonverbal communication.

Thursday 02/04 - The Moon enters into Scorpio at 9:55 AM.

Feelings of gratitude and an inner peace permeate this day, starting with an early Moon/Neptune trine (2:28 AM) that brings a certain psychic attunement to our dreams. People wake up feeling relaxed and positive. Comfort and relief expand as the Moon moves toward a trine to Jupiter (5:15 PM).

Late night energy gets a little edgy as a Moon/Mars square (10:55 PM) heats things up. Staying tuned into your emotional and physical needs helps ease the anger this square can generate.

Friday 02/05 - The day is relatively uneventful. A Sun/Moon square (4:48 PM) this afternoon revisits tensions from last night's Moon/Mars square.

Saturday 02/06 - There are powerful and interesting forces at work today. There is a lot of mental energy available (Mercury/Uranus), combined with a strong focus and an ability to visualize (Jupiter/Pluto) that can bring almost miraculous results.

Mercury sextile Uranus (1:03 AM) is quick-witted and clever with a knack for coming up with ingenious new solutions to old problems.

Jupiter sextile Pluto (10:41 AM) manifests a force of intention that results in a remarkable ability to make things happen. Jupiter/Pluto is about the creative and beneficent use of power.

In between these power aspects are a series of lunar alignments that act as assistants in all this. The Scorpio Moon trines Uranus (6:36 AM) and sextiles Mercury (7:14 AM) so we're doing our best thinking in the early morning hours. When a Moon/Neptune square kicks in (9:12 AM) its time to stop strategizing and trust in a positive outcome. Relax and enjoy a remarkable day.

The Moon moves into Sagittarius at 5:03 PM.

Sunday 02/07 - The day gets off to an energetic start before the Sun even rises as the Moon makes an early trine to Mars (5:21 AM), the action planet. Maybe there's something special happening that merits such an enthusiastic beginning.

There is a magical quality to today's Venus/Neptune conjunction (10:45 PM), an aspect of romance and fantasy. The world looks more beautiful now and people seem kinder and gentler. Just seeing this in others helps them manifest their better selves.

The Saturn/Pluto influence is receding for the time being and we are moving into a sweetening trend in February. Venus will be joining Jupiter in Pisces later this month (2/16/10), making this one of the most romantic Valentine's Days ever. Make special plans now.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

  Mon Feb 8th - Sun Feb 14th

Monday 02/08 - The morning starts off harmoniously with a Sun/Moon sextile (7:17 AM) and all goes smoothly until later in the day when we hit a bump in the road as the Sagittarius Moon squares unpredictable Uranus (4:57 PM). Happening as it does, right at rush hour, be on the lookout for crazed drivers and unexpected traffic hazards.

Things mellow out after dinner and a lovely, romantic mood sets in as the Moon sextiles Neptune (7:38 PM) and Venus (9:58 PM), keying into yesterday's Venus/Neptune conjunction.

Tuesday 02/09 - The Moon enters Capricorn at 3:43 AM.

It's a difficult morning. The Moon squares Saturn (11:45 AM) so it's hard to work up much enthusiasm. Energy levels are low and Saturn/Pluto issues of limitation and confinement are the main focus today. A Moon/Pluto conjunction (12:58 PM) has us on one side or another of someone's power trip, maybe our own.

The moodiness gives way to a brighter attitude when the Moon sextiles Jupiter (2:18 PM) this afternoon.

Wednesday 02/10 - There are no major lunar aspects today so things are relatively quiet.

After a long stay in practical, political, ambitious Capricorn, Mercury enters Aquarius (2:06 AM). The national dialogue refocuses on ideals, recalling recent hopes for real change.

Thursday 02/11 - Venus enters Pisces (5:10 AM) and will soon join up with Jupiter, a tender and compassionate alignment that colors the middle of February pink. Those with birthdays around this time can look forward to a loving and lovely year.

The morning gets off to an early start as the Moon sextiles Uranus (5:39 AM). This alert mental energy indicates enthusiasm for a plan or project that keeps us busy throughout the day.

The Moon enters Aquarius at 4:24 PM.

The Moon and Mercury conjunct in Aquarius (9:39 PM) later this evening so people are eager for company and conversation tonight. This is a good evening to entertain.

Friday 02/12 - Last night may have turned into a late one as a fiery Moon/Mars opposition (2:01 AM) kept the pace going into the wee hours of the morning. Today we pay the dues, sloughing through the day. Duty calls and there is work to attend to. Many may even be working late to get it all taken care of as Mercury trines dutiful, dreary Saturn (6:36 PM).

Saturday 02/13 - Mercury opposition Mars (3:25 AM) is an alignment that loves debate, argument and the sound of its own voice. This very cerebral energy will even argue both sides of an issue just for the mental exercise.

The Moon is New in 25 degrees of Aquarius. This interesting New Moon conjuncts Neptune, highlighting spiritual and humanitarian concerns. Some will want to hide out, focusing on inner work. This is a wonderful time for a meditation or contemplative retreat. For others this will be a renewal of dedication to a political ideal. Aquarians love to work with like-minded associates toward a common cause or goal.

For those with reason to celebrate Valentine's Day, this is a great weekend to get away from it all to some romantic hideaway.

Sunday 02/14 - Happy Valentine's Day. This is the archetypal Valentine's Day. The Moon entered Pisces at 5:23 AM and will conjunct Venus (1:54 PM) and Jupiter (6:32 PM) over the course of the day. It just doesn't get any sweeter than this.

Today's Sun/Neptune conjunction (4:20 PM) is a selfless aspect that is able to put other people's best interest ahead of it's own. This is truly about the joy of giving.

Venus sextile Pluto (12:16 AM). Technically this should be for tomorrow's forecast, since it happens after midnight, but it fits right in with today's romantic energies. Venus/Pluto brings a passionate intensity to a day that might otherwise be almost too sweetly sentimental. Venus/Pluto adds some dark red tones to this pink Valentine.

* All times are MST (Mountain Standard Time). For EST (Eastern Standard Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon Feb 15th - Sun Feb 21st

Monday 02/15 - It's a nose to the grindstone type of day. Today's only aspect, Mars sextile Saturn (8:20 AM) indicates difficult circumstances and people and the discipline and self-control needed to deal with it all.

Tuesday 02/16 - The day gets off to an early start with a burst of energy from an electric Moon/Uranus conjunction (7:32 AM). There's excitement in the air and anticipation.

The Moon enters Aries at 5:30 PM.

This evening's Venus/Jupiter conjunction (7:14 PM) in 7 degrees Pisces is an emotional aspect of love and luxury. Venus and Jupiter can get too caught up in self-gratification but Pisces makes this alignment quite compassionate and caring. There's a lot of psychic sensitivity here. People are tuning into emotional nuances that they usually ignore. Those with birthdays in mid February can look forward to a rich year of emotional abundance, contentment and nurturing.

The energy is still going strong later tonight as a Moon/Mars trine (11:55 PM) keeps a strong pace until after midnight. Things get rocky and weird just before 1 AM (Moon opposition Saturn). The energy tanks and it's time for bed.

Wednesday 02/17 - There may be a lingering moodiness from last night's aspects but these are soon forgotten in the midst of a busy and interesting day. The Moon sextiles Mercury (3:23 PM) this afternoon so this is a prime time to reach out to others. Communications of all kinds are favored now.

Thursday 02/18 - The Sun enters Pisces (11:36 AM).

There's a dreamy end to a quiet day as the Moon sextiles Neptune (8:53 PM). Looks like a good night to turn in early.

Friday 02/19 - The Moon enters Taurus at 3:55 AM.

A Moon/Mars square (8:55 AM) has people rather temperamental and snappish this morning. Better keep a low profile until after lunch.

It's a lovely evening. The Taurus Moon sextiles Jupiter (6:33 PM) and Venus (12:49 AM) so that romantic mood from Valentine's Day still lingers on. This is a great night for a special dinner date. Make the most of it, go hear some music, go dancing.

Saturday 02/20 - It's a busy Saturday morning. A Moon/Mercury square (8:53 AM) means too much input, too early in the morning. The phone is ringing, the dog is barking and everyone wants to talk to you now. No sleeping in today.

Sunday 02/21 - This is the morning to catch some extra zzz's. A Moon/Neptune (5:16 AM) induces a deep sleep and interesting dreams invite you to linger.

Things start to liven up when the Moon enters Gemini at 11:37 AM. Then a Moon/Mars sextile (3:34 PM) really gets things moving, at least for a couple of hours.

The evening is subdued, with the focus on taking care of business and preparing for the coming week (Moon trine Saturn at 5:48 PM).

* All times are MST (Mountain Standard Time). For EST (Eastern Standard Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon Feb 22nd - Sun Feb 28th

Monday 02/22 - It's a lazy day but people are in the mood to chat, gossip and hang-out as the Gemini Moon squares Venus in Pisces (1:09 PM) this afternoon. The social energy keeps building as the day progresses and we move toward a Moon/Mercury trine (10:17 PM) later tonight. All types of communication and mental activity are favored now.

Tuesday 02/23 - It's a cranky morning. The Moon squares Uranus early on (8:32 AM) and things don't go quite as expected. This day will require some flexibility. A midmorning Moon/Neptune trine (10:29 AM) helps us relax and go with the flow.

Today's Sun/Pluto sextile (9:27 AM) is an aspect of concentration and purpose. This assists in dealing with the evening's less than pleasant alignments.

The Moon enters Cancer at 4:29 PM so the mood becomes more emotional.

Lie low tonight. The blues set in as the Moon squares Saturn (9:54 PM) and opposes Pluto (12:53 PM). Go to bed early and avoid the stress.

Wednesday 02/24 - This is a lovely day. The emphasis is on the water signs and pleasant feelings of contentment and enjoyment predominate. The Cancer Moon trines the Sun (2:02 AM), Jupiter (7:20 AM) and Venus (9:06 PM) in Pisces so a gentle, tender mood takes us from early morning on through the end of the day.

Thursday 02/25 - Dynamic energies power us through this day. A Moon/Uranus trine (10:48 AM) gets things off to a vigorous start. There's an air of anticipation and enthusiasm, maybe we're already making plans and gearing up for an exciting weekend.

The Moon moves into Leo at 6:08 PM.

A Moon/Mars conjunction in Leo (8:14 PM) brings out the regal lion in people. There's a tendency for pride, dignity and self-dramatization to become a little exaggerated now. Folks will get upset if they don't feel that they're getting the proper respect and recognition. Then, listen to the lion roar. This would be a great opening night for a play or other performance as people's dramatic abilities are at a peak.

Friday 02/26 - It's a quiet day with no major lunar aspects. We're already coasting on this weekend's powerful energies.

Saturday 02/27 - It's possible to access a place of inner silence and calm with the help of today's Mercury/Neptune conjunction (7:04 AM). At its best, the conjunction of Mercury and Neptune is conducive to deep meditative and psychic states. At its worst, this alignment indicates confusion, addiction and deception. Any offers that seem too good to be true probably are. Put off business dealings until another time and use this energy for higher purposes, like prayer and contemplation or creative inspiration. Mercury/Neptune creates a longing for peace and quiet. This is a good time to do a mini retreat. Head for the hills and get away from it all.

The Moon opposes Neptune (12:35 PM) and Mercury (1:15 PM) around midday, making the effects mentioned above all the stronger. It's a dreamy, spacey day. How many times can you lose the car keys in one day? The Moon enters Virgo at 5:52 PM.

Sunday 02/28 - The Pisces Sun conjuncts expansive Jupiter (3:44 AM). Those with birthdays at this time will have many opportunities for growth and greater prominence this year. This is a great time to promote yourself. Let people know what you have to offer, the response will be gratifying.

The Piscean qualities of kindness and compassion are increased. Combined with the Mercury/Neptune conjunction, this weekend's alignments create an otherworldly, magical atmosphere. Encounters with other realms are possible now. This is also a very creative time. Music, dance and impressionistic types of art are all favored by the current emphasis on Pisces and Neptune.

The Moon is Full in 9 degrees Virgo at 9:38 AM. The Virgo Moon helps ground the flightier aspects of Pisces, finding practical applications for all the current inspiration.

* All times are MST (Mountain Standard Time). For EST (Eastern Standard Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.
