Saturn/Uranus & World Events

Jupiter/Neptune, A New Aquarian Ideal

 Mon June 28th - Sun July 4th

Monday 6/28 - The emphasis is on self expression, communication and mental activity as the Sun conjuncts Mercury in 6 degrees of Cancer (6:07 AM).

The Moon moves into Aquarius at 6:52 AM. It's a lively and interesting morning. The Moon sextiles Uranus (8:00 AM) and Jupiter (11:41 AM). People are motivated and active, making strong resolutions for future action.

Tuesday 6/29 - This is a rather quiet day. The main aspect being a lazy, laid back Moon/Venus opposition at 7:14 PM this evening, which puts enjoyment at the top of the list.

Wednesday 6/30 - Another uneventful day. This afternoon's Moon/Neptune conjunction (4:04 PM) makes it practically somnambulant (that means sleep-walking) and many people are sleep-walking through this day. Where did I put my keys? Where did I put my brain? What was I just going to say? . . . it must be time to take a nap. The Moon enters Pisces at 7:09 PM.

Thursday 7/01 - This ought to wake things up. Mercury sextiles Mars (6:17 AM) picking up the promise of Monday's Sun/Mercury conjunction. People are eager to speak their minds, express themselves and stand up and be counted. Let the world know what you're thinking. Call your congressman.

The Pisces Moon trines the Cancer Sun (3:18 PM), so the tendency is toward consensus building rather than militancy, or maybe militant consensus building. There's harmony in here somewhere, until this evening at least. Then the Moon opposes combative Mars (10:44 PM) and people are ready to duke it out. Moon/Mars tends to make mountains out of molehills. You may find yourself arguing about something really silly. Why not channel that energy into writing your manifesto or a really interesting letter to the editor.

Friday 7/02 - Today's only major aspect happened last night, a Moon/Mercury trine (1:24 AM) that was part of all that late night brain-storming.

Saturday 7/03 - A pre-dawn Moon/Saturn opposition (5:17 AM) has people waking up from stressful dreams feeling tired and anxious. Sleep in a little longer if you can.

The Moon enters Aries at 7:44 AM and the energy shifts. The Aries Moon conjuncts Uranus (8:55 AM) and Jupiter (1:17 PM) sounding the call of the wild. A feeling of wanderlust urges us to get out and do something different, something fun and exciting. Express yourself. Have an adventure. Rugged individualism is the theme of the day.

A mid afternoon Moon/Pluto square (3:31 PM) warns against throwing your weight around. Doing your own thing doesn't mean stepping on someone else's toes.

Sunday 7/04 - It's the 4th of July. The Aries Moon squares the Cancer Sun (8:35 AM) this morning so people are motivated and on the move, pushing hard toward accomplishment. There's a workaholic edge here. This is not a sleepy Sunday morning, folks are busy preparing for the afternoon's festivities.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

  Mon July 5th - Sun July 11th

Monday 7/05 - What a lovely day. The Aries Moon tunes into Thursday's Venus/Neptune opposition, setting an ethereal tone for the week. A Moon/Venus trine (7:52 AM) gets the day off to an enthusiastic start, appreciative of kind friends and more aware than usual of the beauty that surrounds us. A Moon/Neptune sextile at 3:24 PM continues this morning's cheerful mood. Moon/Neptune enjoys just relaxing but there is an otherworldly, fantastical quality to this combo that seems to have one foot in another, happier dimension.

Uranus goes into its annual retrograde phase (10:49 AM).

The Moon enters Taurus at 6:29 PM.

Tuesday 7/06 - The Taurus Moon brings us back down to earth today and back to work. It's a quiet, harmonious day. The energy builds toward a late night Moon/Mars trine (1:29 AM) early Wednesday morning that may keep many people up into the wee hours.

Wednesday 7/07 - Once again most of the day's action happens after dark. A Moon/Mercury sextile (8:15 PM) kicks our brains into gear. This will be an evening for late phone calls and email sessions or maybe unexpected visitors. In the 60's this would have been prime time for a block party with music and dancing in the streets. Yes, kids, we really did that. Now you'd probably just get arrested. The Moon squares Venus (9:06 PM) and Neptune (10:54 PM) raising the possibility of an impromptu party. It's summer time. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Thursday 7/08 - The Moon goes into Gemini at 1:51 AM. There's an electric energy in the air, scintillating, crackling, making it hard to sleep. The Gemini Moon sextiles Uranus (2:53 AM) and Jupiter (7:15 AM). You may wake up feeling like you spent the night dancing holes in your shoes, like the princesses in the fairy tale. On the other hand you may have been dancing all night. Summer heat makes you want to sleep all day and stay up all night, if you can.

Today's Venus opposition Neptune (5:56 PM) is compassionate and caring. Given that the signs are Leo (Venus) and Aquarius (Neptune) it also likes to party. Venus/Neptune tunes into the transcendent beauty that really should be our experience here on Planet Earth.

Mercury sextile Saturn (11:35 PM) is that practical voice that tells us when it's time to go to bed. Time to catch up on some zzz's after a couple of restless nights.

Friday 7/09 - Things are a bit snappish this morning as the Gemini Moon squares Mars in Virgo (9:06 AM). This brings out the fussy, petty side in some people. Try to contain those catty remarks, however tempting.

The mood shifts around midmorning when Mercury enters Leo (10:29 AM). Mercury in Leo is creative, fun-loving and optimistic and loves to show off.

This evening's Mercury/Uranus trine (5:46 PM) is brilliant and innovative, a truly original thinker. Maybe someone will come up with a way to stop the oil spill, though one wonders if anyone in Washington would care to listen.

Saturday 7/10 - Venus enters Virgo (5:32 AM). Venus in Virgo is industrious and results-oriented and loves to give and receive the little gifts and kindnesses that make a loved one feel special.

The Moon enters Cancer at 5:38 AM.

When the Moon sextiles Venus (5:39 AM) this morning the signs involved are Cancer and Virgo so the energy is more subdued and domestic. It's been a dynamic week and some folks are ready to enjoy a little quiet time at home. This may spark a bit of conflict between the homebodies and those restless types that are still raring to go as the Moon squares Uranus (6:36 AM) and Jupiter (10:53 AM). It's probably best if everyone does their own thing this morning, that way nobody has to compromise. Though a Moon/Pluto opposition (11:52 AM) may want to force others to do it our way, or else!

Sun sextile Mars (10:13 PM) picks up the pace and turns this into another action packed evening. Sun sextile Mars is a nice combo that denotes taking action that furthers our own best interest, not necessarily selfish, just effective.

Sunday 7/11 - Cheerful, optimistic Mercury trine Jupiter (2:13 AM) is why the mood improved so much yesterday afternoon. With Mercury/Jupiter it's easier to find the right thing to say and to strike the right tone that creates consensus instead of dissension.

Today's New Moon Solar Eclipse at 19 degrees of Cancer (1:40 PM) is much more benign than the recent tension-filled Full Moon. True, there's still that stress inducing t-square in the background putting everyone on edge but at least this Moon is not goading us over the edge. With the New Moon sextiling Mars we may even be able to find some effective action to reduce those soaring stress levels.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon July 12th - Sun July 18th

Monday 7/12 - The Moon enters Leo at 6:53 AM.

It's a fast paced and interesting morning. The Leo Moon trines Uranus (7:49 AM) and Jupiter (12:05 PM) so there's a lot going on but it's all very upbeat, even exciting, and people are in a cheerful mood. This afternoon's Moon/Mercury conjunction (4:49 PM) may bring good news or some kind of breakthrough. Communicate. If you need to ask a favor or make a proposal, now's the time.

Tuesday 7/13 - Venus trine Pluto (11:54 AM) is emotionally intense and rather possessive, even with the harmonious trine connecting them. The signs involved are Virgo and Capricorn, both practical earth signs, so there is some ambition here.

Wednesday 7/14 - The Moon enters Virgo at 7:15 AM.

An early morning Moon/Neptune opposition (4:23 AM) gets the morning off to a slow start, sleepy and with one foot still in dreamland.

Emotions are powerful and it's hard to be neutral about anything as the Moon keys into yesterday's Venus/Pluto trine. This puts us in touch with our feelings, including those we may have been hiding from. At its best, this brings an intense enjoyment and appreciation of the natural beauty surrounding us. Venus/Pluto has a very sensual and passionate side and a strong craving for fulfillment. The Moon trines Pluto at 1:07 PM and conjuncts Venus at 3:14 PM. Look for the crescent Moon and lovely Venus in the west just after sunset, always a spectacular pairing.

Thursday 7/15 - After a quiet beginning, this day builds toward an energetic Moon/Mars conjunction (6:31 PM). Moon/Mars needs physical exercise to let off steam and relax or it can get rather irritable. Take a sunset walk, go to a yoga class, swim, workout, whichever you favor.

Friday 7/16 - Vitality is at a low point this morning due to a depressing Moon/Saturn conjunction (7:46 AM). Take it easy and don't push it as this is also a very accident prone morning due to an almost simultaneous Moon/Uranus opposition (9:18 AM). You'll see several fender-benders on the way to work today. Try not to be one of them.

The Moon entered Libra (8:24 AM).

The high pressure zone continues into the afternoon as the Moon opposes Jupiter (1:58 PM) and squares Pluto (2:24 PM). People want their own way and they want it now. There's a tendency to get coercive and demanding at the least frustration. Better to head for the hills and the wide open spaces for a breath of fresh air.

Saturday 7/17 - It's a simple day, not a lot of pressure or demands. A Moon/Mercury sextile (8:36 AM) portends several early phone calls, firming up plans for the weekend.

Sunday 7/18 - The morning is quiet and restful as a soothing Moon/Neptune trine (8:26 AM) eases us gently into the day.

The Moon enters Scorpio at 11:42 AM.

A pensive, private mood has people focused on personal business this evening when the Moon sextiles Pluto (5:55 PM). It's been a very low key weekend.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon July 19th - Sun July 25th

Monday 7/19 - A quietly nurturing mood starts the morning on a tender note. The Scorpio Moon sextiles Venus in Virgo (5:26 AM).

Things get a little hectic this evening when the Moon squares busy Mercury (8:39 PM). The Scorpio Moon just wants some privacy but the outside world has different ideas.

Tuesday 7/20 - It's a vigorous morning. A Moon/Mars sextile (7:20 AM) has people full of energy. Stress levels are low and the pace is reasonable.

Its siesta time this afternoon as a Moon/Neptune square (2:17 PM) brings productivity to a halt. Take a break and maybe a quick nap to freshen up for, what looks like, an active and interesting evening.

The Moon enters Sagittarius at 5:48 PM and trines Uranus (5:44 PM) and Jupiter (12:06 AM). There's something fun going on tonight. Get out and enjoy the evening. It looks like it will be a late one.

Wednesday 7/21 - Much to the relief of those with birthdays near the end of Virgo, Saturn finally leaves your sign, after a brief re-entry (4/07/10 - 7/21/10), and enters Libra (9:09 AM). Now Librans will be dealing with the cosmic taskmaster for the next 2 years. As usual, Saturn wants you to embrace personal responsibility and polish up a few rough edges.

A Moon/Venus square (5:42 PM) is torn between tending to some chores or getting out for a bit of fresh air. Go for it, these summer days are fleeting and house work is always there.

Thursday 7/22 - Happy Birthday, Lions. The Sun will enter Leo (4:21 PM) this afternoon.

People are eager for company and ready for conversation as the Sag Moon trines Mercury in Leo (12:26 AM). This is a good time to exchange ideas. Find out what others are up to and get some inspiration in the process.

Things get stressful this afternoon when the Moon squares Mars in Virgo, making people nit-picky and critical. You want it done right but doing it in a hurry leads to mistakes. Better hang it up until tomorrow.

Sun sextile Saturn (7:14 PM) is known for being responsible with a great work ethic. This helps concentration and the ability to bring projects to completion.

The pace doesn't really slow down until later tonight when a Moon/Neptune sextile (10:51 PM) helps us to finally relax.

Friday 7/23 - The Moon enters Capricorn at 2:39 AM.

There are some stressful aspects (Moon square Saturn at 2:55 AM and square Uranus at 3:33 AM) in the wee hours of the morning so sleep may be disturbed. The Sun trines Uranus (4:07 AM) just before dawn. All this creates a strong electrical charge that has many people wired and jittery. Others enjoy the wild freedom and crazy wisdom that Uranus aspects promote.

Jupiter goes into its annual retrograde (6:03 AM). It will be in retrograde from 7/23 through 11/19/10. Jupiter will be moving back into the last degrees of Pisces giving an added boost of optimism and opportunity to those Fishes with birthdays in the third week of March.

This morning the Moon triggers tomorrow's Jupiter/Pluto square as it squares Jupiter (9:14 AM) and conjuncts Pluto (9:17 AM). You may have to contend with some kind of power play. Someone is throwing their weight around and making a grab for a bigger piece of the pie.

Saturday 7/24 - It's a sweet morning. The earthy Capricorn Moon trines Venus (9:12 AM) setting a sensual tone for a lazy Saturday morning.

People want it their way and they want it now. Jupiter square Pluto (7:51 PM) doesn't mind stepping on a few toes to force its agenda through. Power-trippers abound.

Sunday 7/25 - It looks like there are a list chores to attend to this morning as the Moon trines Mars (8:20 AM) and Saturn (2:19 PM).

The Moon moves into Aquarius at 1:38 PM.

By mid afternoon we finally get to go out and play when a Moon/Uranus sextile (2:29 PM) says; enough already!

The Moon is Full in 3 degrees of Aquarius at 7:37 PM. There are several powerful aspects about to culminate in the coming week. Mercury opposes Neptune on Monday, tomorrow, so there's some confusion or secrecy about what's going on. It's hard to get the real story. The situation is explosive and major power plays are in the works. Negative Leo's imperious, imperial attitude is evident among the power-mongers, meanwhile ordinary folks get stuck with the bill, as usual. Personally this can be an empowering Moon for those willing to do the work to make a change.

This evening a Moon/Jupiter sextile (8:24 PM) strikes a joyful, celebratory note. Turn off the outside world and drink in the beauty that surrounds you. We have so much to be grateful for.
