 Mon Mar 29th - Sun Apr 4th

Monday 03/29 - The almost full Moon highlights current limitations and frustrations when it conjuncts gloomy Saturn (6:29 AM) early this morning. Despite that tired feeling, people keep on pushing, running on sheer nervous energy as we head toward tonight's Full Moon. By 9 AM the pace picks up as a Moon/Mars sextile eases us into gear. Something may get accomplished today after all.

There's a mood of grim determination this afternoon when the Moon squares Pluto (2:06 PM). A tendency to be ruthless with ourselves or others adds to the stress as we push to get the job done. Don't strain yourself.

Venus sextile Neptune (2:26 PM) is a gentle, tender aspect that seems out of kilter with the rest of the day's line-up. Venus/Neptune suggests an alternative to the current stress and anxiety. Venus/Neptune knows how to stay relaxed and in the moment, trusting in a positive outcome without wasting energy worrying about possible future troubles that may or may not ever come to be.

The Moon is Full in 9 degrees of Libra at 8:25 PM.

Tuesday 03/30 - There are no major lunar aspects today but we're still running on yesterday's dynamic Full Moon energy.

Wednesday 03/31 - The Moon moves into Scorpio at 6:41 AM. After a leisurely start, the mood turns temperamental and hasty later this morning when the Moon squares Mars (11:19 AM).

Venus eases into Taurus (11:35 AM) today, toning down the combative stance of Venus in Aries. This is a comfortable placement because, as the ruling planet of Taurus, Venus is at home here. Venus in Taurus loves to beautify its surroundings, house, garden, arts and crafts.

Mercury sextiles Neptune (9:22 PM) offering a second opportunity this week to hitch a ride on a cloud and bypass all the BS. In the coming year all the planets except Neptune will be piling up in an extremely stressful t-square. Neptune, the planet of spirituality, higher love and faith, is the only place to go to escape the insanity.

Thursday 04/01 - A congenial mood has people feeling content and satisfied with life, for the moment at least, as the Scorpio Moon trines Jupiter (12:33 PM). Take a friend to lunch.

Friday 04/02 - There's a lot of energy this morning (Moon trine Uranus at 6:22 AM) but it's directed toward inner or devotional purposes. Meditation and a quiet start to the day are encouraged by an almost simultaneous Moon/Neptune square (6:54 AM).

Mercury enters Taurus (7:06 AM) cooling the recent tendency toward hot-headed rhetoric (Mercury in Aries). Mercury takes a slow, practical and cautious approach to decision making.

The Moon enters Sagittarius at 10:52 AM.

The day takes on a disciplined and businesslike tone when the Moon sextiles Saturn (11:33 AM) later this morning. And a Moon/Mars trine (4:46 PM) keeps up the pace all afternoon. People are intent on plowing through their work load and getting everything taken care of before the weekend.

Saturday 04/03 - There's a certain tension this weekend. What we get is not necessarily what we want when Venus in Taurus squares Mars in Leo (5:25 AM). This heats up the battle between the sexes. One person wants it one way and their partner wants it the other, so it's hard to come to an agreement over weekend plans.

Disharmony is swept under the rug when the Sagittarius Moon moves into a harmonious trine to the Aries Sun (12:23 PM) just after noon. And the evening takes on a positively jovial tone with a Moon/Jupiter square (8:02 PM) livening things up.

Sunday 04/04 - Easter - Things get a bit rocky this afternoon. The Moon squares Uranus (2:30 PM) so things do not go as planned and there are many minor upsets along the way. If you're doing a big Easter dinner expect the unexpected. People are late, you run out of gas halfway through the turkey, etc. Despite a soothing Moon/Neptune sextile (2:58 PM), which helps those opting for a quiet day, disturbances continue to muddy the waters throughout the rest of the day and into the evening.

Tonight people are exhausted, depressed and disgruntled (Moon square Saturn at 7:30 PM). Behind closed doors, they finally give vent to the weekend's frustrations and there could be a considerable argument brewing as we head toward a Mercury/Mars square (10:17 PM).

Venus trines Pluto at 9:11 PM, intensifying emotions and passions, which acts like tinder for incipient arguments. Making love, not war, is one way to resolve this, though the tendency is probably in the opposite direction.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

  Mon April 5th - Sun April 11th

Monday 04/05 - All of today's aspects happen in the early morning hours. The Moon conjuncts Pluto (5:51 AM) and trines Venus (6:39 AM) so emotions are powerful and passionate. People feel deeply and intensely about everything right now. There is no middle ground.

Tuesday 04/06 - A Mercury/Pluto trine (4:46 AM) translates all this passion to the intellectual realm, so strongly held beliefs and ideologies are up for debate. Mercury is about to go into one of its retrograde phases (4/17 - 5/11), which will take it back over this trine a total of three times, making this spring a time for self examination or psychological analysis. This Mercury/Pluto period is good for study, research and investigations of all types.

A friendly, cheerful mood gets the morning off to a pleasant start as the Capricorn Moon sextiles Jupiter (7:42 AM).

Tonight Pluto goes into its annual retrograde (8:33 PM) phase.

Wednesday 04/07 - The Moon enters Aquarius at 6:51 AM.

The focus is on work and business. A Moon/Saturn trine (6:53 AM) has people concentrating on practical solutions and getting the job done as efficiently as possible. After working hard all day, the stress begins to show this afternoon when the Moon opposes hot-tempered Mars (4:02 PM). The tendency is to keep on pushing but it would be best to start winding down, otherwise this is the time when accidents begin to happen.

People are wired tonight. Busy brains are working overtime and it's hard to quiet that mental chatter enough to get to sleep (Moon square Mercury at 9:47 AM).

Saturn retrogrades back into Virgo (12:55 PM) and won't re-enter Libra until July 22nd.

Thursday 04/08 - It's a relatively quiet day. The mood is harmonious and friendly as the Aquarius Moon sextiles the Sun at 9:53 PM.

Friday 04/09 - This is a good day to relax and take it easy. Day-dream, listen to music or meditate, all activities favored by today's Moon/Neptune conjunction (3:45 PM).

The Moon enters Pisces at 7:48 PM.

Saturday 04/10 - It's a very pleasant weekend, low key and enjoyable. The Pisces Moon makes a series of sextiles to Pluto (6:43 AM), Mercury (3:38 PM) and Venus (9:32 PM) so the morning hours are quiet but things gear up this afternoon. Moon/Mercury is talkative and wants to socialize. Moon/Venus likes a little luxury so give yourself or a loved one a special treat, a back rub or something nice for dinner. The signs involved are Pisces and Taurus so people would rather stay home than go to a big effort.

Sunday 04/11 - It's a delightful morning. The Moon conjuncts Jupiter in Pisces (11:13 AM) so the mood is tender and emotional. This is a very fertile energy and a great time to garden and get your spring planting started.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon April 12th - Sun April 18th

Monday 04/12 - People wake up tired after a restless night (Moon conjunct Uranus at 3:40 AM). A Moon/Saturn opposition (6:51 AM) gets the day off to a slow start with a bad case of Monday morning blues. Take it easy and give yourself some extra TLC. Pay attention to your diet and get that sluggish system moving. Spring is a good time to do a cleanse, inside as well as out.

The Moon moves into Aries at 7:31 AM.

The mood this evening is grouchy and taciturn. Give folks lots of space. A Moon/Pluto square (6:02 PM) has people in the mood to hide out.

After dinner there's a burst of energy and enthusiasm when the Aries Moon trines Mars (7:14 PM). Maybe all we needed was some down time to rest and recuperate.

Tuesday 04/13 - There are no major lunar aspects today and as it's the dark of the Moon (the day before the New Moon) things are especially quiet.

Wednesday 04/14 - The Moon is New in 24 degrees of Aries at 6:29 AM. With its warmth and exuberant celebration of life, Aries personifies the archetypical spring energy. A Moon/Neptune sextile (1:23 PM) softens that Arian competitive edge and heightens its optimism and idealism.

The Moon enters Taurus at 4:55 PM.

Thursday 04/15 - The Taurus Moon squares Mars (5:36 AM) so a dynamic energy gets us going early. With Moon/Mars there's a tendency to take on too much and push too hard so there's a lot on the to-do list today. The stress makes people temperamental and snappish.

This afternoon's Moon/Mercury conjunction (3:55 PM) loves to talk and tends to think out loud, probably with the TV and the radio going at the same time. The morning's Mars square enhances a propensity toward argument and debate.

Tonight the barely visible crescent Moon makes a spectacular line-up with Venus and Mercury. Look for them in the western sky at sunset. Venus is the brighter of the two planets and sits slightly above and to the south of Mercury. You may have noticed their lovely sunset appearance over the last couple of weeks.

Friday 04/16 - The mood mellows as we head into the weekend. We awaken from sweet dreams (Moon conjunct Venus at 4:39 AM) and start the day in good spirits as the Moon sextiles jovial Jupiter (7:18 AM).

Relaxation is at the top of the list tonight as the Moon squares dreamy Neptune (8:49 PM). You night owls will get a second wind when a Moon/Uranus sextile kicks into gear around 9 PM.

Saturday 04/17 - The Moon enters Gemini at 12:08 AM.

It's a party weekend and people are in the mood to celebrate. The out-going Gemini Moon makes a sextile to fun-loving Mars in Leo this afternoon (1:48 PM). Time to fire up the BBQ and invite some people over.

Today's Venus/Jupiter sextile (2:43 PM) loves a little luxury and usually indicates a time when you've got some extra cash in your pocket and are in the mood to spend it. This is the ultimate shopping aspect so it's good for retail but bad for your budget.

Mercury goes retrograde tonight (10:06 PM). Mercury will be in retrograde until May 11. This retrograde cycle features Mercury, in practical, down-to-earth Taurus, in a series of trines to Pluto. It made its first trine to Pluto on April 6th, so issues that came up around this time will give a hint as to what we'll be dealing with for the next six weeks. Mercury makes its second trine to Pluto on May 3rd and the third and final pass on May 19th .

Sunday 04/18 - The Sun sextiles Neptune (2:17 AM) sprinkling its special brand of fairy dust over the weekend. This dreamy, fantastical aspect puts you into a cosmic Now. Be in the moment and enjoy. A Moon/Jupiter square (2:11 PM) supports the trend and just wants to relax, mellow out and visit with friends.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon April 19th - Sun April 25th

Monday 04/19 - The morning gets off to a very slow start. The lingering effect of an early Moon/Saturn square (4:15 AM) has people waking up feeling tired and low energy. The Moon moves into Cancer at 5:39 AM.

This day never really takes off. The afternoon is moody and quiet (Moon opposition Pluto at 3:05 PM). People just want to hole up and hide out.

The Sun enters Taurus at 10:30 PM.

Tuesday 04/20 - It's a quiet day but by this evening the mood perks up. A Moon/Jupiter trine (7:29 PM) is tender and caring. As the signs involved are Cancer and Pisces, it's not as outgoing as Moon/Jupiter usually is but people are feeling especially receptive now. It's a good night to cuddle up with the one you love.

Wednesday 04/21 - Finally the pace is picking up. A Moon/Uranus trine (7:08 AM) sparks a dynamic energy this morning. There's an undercurrent of excitement, possibly about this weekend which features a series of Venus aspects. Make calls and firm up your plans.

Things settle down quickly and this turns into a productive work day (Moon sextile Saturn at 8:07 AM).

The Moon enters Leo at 9:42 AM so the mood is more outgoing and friendly now.

It will be a late night for many. The Moon conjuncts Mars in Leo at 1:18 AM so people are wide awake and going strong into the wee hours of the morning.

Thursday 04/22 - Despite the late night, people are either up early or tossing and turning with busy brain chatter resounding through their dreams. There are lots of details to be taken care of this morning and the phone starts ringing very early as the Moon squares Mercury at 5:43 AM. The rest of the day is relatively calm and quiet after this busy start.

Friday 04/23 - This is a delightful and interesting day featuring two Venus aspects. The morning starts slowly (the Moon squares Venus at 9:11 AM and opposes Neptune at 9:35 AM) but this is due to the calm and restful energy of Venus and Neptune, not the tired and depressed influence of Saturn (like Monday was). People are drifting around in dreamy distraction most of the day.

The Moon enters Virgo at 12:24 PM.

This afternoon's Venus/Neptune square (1:56 PM) is spacey but very pleasant. Enjoyment of music and the arts are enhanced by this aspect. Take the time to slow down and savor the beauty of the moment.

This evening people snap out of their dream state and into a more active enjoyment as Venus sextiles electrifying Uranus (8:07 PM). It's a wild night with no sharp edges. People are full of energy and having fun. There are lots of interesting characters out tonight.

Saturday 04/24 - Venus trine Saturn (1:45 PM) helps moderate the energy and allows folks to pace themselves for the long haul. Apparently some have decided to pull an all-nighter.

Once again people are up early and feeling chipper. A Moon/Mercury trine at 6:27 AM is alert and talkative even before that first cup of coffee. The rest of the day we're coasting on yesterday's line-up.

Venus enters Gemini (11:05 pm) tonight, increasing the sociability and volubility (talkative-ness). Did someone just turn up the volume?

Sunday 04/25 - Speaking of volume, Mercury squares Mars (4:41 AM) and the pace becomes even faster. Nerves are getting frayed, after all, how much can you do in one weekend? The Moon opposes Uranus at 12:08 PM and conjuncts Saturn at 12:20 PM. It looks like crash and burn to me. Time to wind it down or maybe even cancel out this morning completely.

The Moon enters Libra at 2:16 PM.

If you take it really slowly this morning, you'll be ready to get the most out of this afternoon's alignment. The Moon trines Venus at 3:40 PM and Friday's cheerful, appreciative mood is back.

The Sun trined Pluto (9:43 AM) earlier today. Known for its endurance and concentration, this powerful alignment has helped get us through all the excitement with energy to spare.

* All times are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time). For EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) add two hours. All aspects in bold are major influences that are in effect for several days. The Moon's daily aspects are rapidly shifting influences that are in effect for only a few hours.

 Mon April 26th - Sun May 2nd

Monday
04/26 - Saturn opposes Uranus (5:27 PM). This is number 4 of 5, the first opposition happened back on Election Day 2008 just as the economic meltdown gathered momentum. Number 5 is on July 26th, around the time that the Recession ends and the Depression begins. What will trigger the next phase of the collapse? There are the obvious indicators; more States going bankrupt, cutting services and furloughing employees, further eroding an already declining tax base. Or will the economic crisis we exported to the world be imported back to us through some as yet unforeseen series of events? Sorry to start the week with this cheery news but the line-up later this summer (late July and early August) is rather ominous.

Saturn's struggle with Uranus represents the old guard's resistance to the changes that Uranus is bringing. It is also putting great stress on dear old planet Earth, thus the spate of recent earthquakes (just wait until Jupiter, Pluto and Mars join the fray later this summer). The financial and political systems that aren't working any more need to be revamped, but no one lets go of power willingly, and this house of cards is about to come tumbling down.

Otherwise, it's a normal Monday morning. The Moon in Libra sextiles Mars (8:10 PM) so the mood is upbeat and energetic but listen for the sound of grinding metal. If it's about to break, now's the time.

Tuesday 04/27 -Tuesday is quiet and dreamy. The Moon trines Neptune (1:45 PM) so people are relaxed but relatively unmotivated.

The Moon enters Scorpio at 4:28 PM.

Wednesday 04/28 - The Moon is Full in 8 degrees Scorpio (6:18 AM). The Full Moon in May represents an archetypal spring energy, a time when the natural world bursts forth in a glory of new life and abundance. There's a stillness and transcendent power at May's Full Moon that illuminates something vast and beautiful, far beyond human stupidity and greed. Buddhists around the world celebrate this Moon as the day of Buddha's enlightenment.

This Full Moon is highlighting a Mercury/Mars square, an aspect that turns up the volume on debates and arguments of all types. The Full Moon t-squares feisty Mars while the Sun conjuncts Mercury (10:44 AM) so, if you're not tuning into the transcendent, it's easy to get embroiled in argument now.

Thursday 04/29 - It's a lovely morning. The Scorpio Moon trines Jupiter in Pisces (9:04 AM) so the mood is affectionate and tender. This delightful aspect extends throughout the day as there are no contradictory energies to challenge it. A Moon/Neptune square (5:48 PM) just makes us a little giddy with the suchness of it all. Tune into the beauty that surrounds you and give Mother Earth a moment of appreciation.

This evening the Moon trines Uranus (6:39 PM), putting us in the mood to dance round in the moonlight, maybe chase a few moon shadows. Get silly and have fun.

The Moon enters Sagittarius at 8:36 PM.

Friday 04/30 - A lazy morning, pleasant but unmotivated, has people taking it slow. The pace doesn't pick up until this evening when a Moon/Mars trine (7:17 PM) finally gets us in gear. Hurray, it's the weekend!

Saturday 05/01 - The mood is friendly and laid back as the Sag Moon squares Jupiter in Pisces (4:34 PM). Sagittarius usually makes us restless, stirring feelings of wanderlust, while Pisces Jupiter would probably prefer just to stay home and take it easy.

Things get very weird after midnight (Moon squares Saturn at 1:09 AM Sunday morning and Uranus at 2:08 AM) so make like a pumpkin and go home before 12.

Sunday 05/02 - The Moon enters Capricorn at 4 AM.

This day is moody and difficult (Moon conjunct Pluto at 2:04 PM). Many will spend the day simply digesting the bad news stemming from last night's Moon/Saturn/Uranus t-square. For others, it was a difficult night of bad dreams and restless sleep and the day is spent dealing with the personal issues at the root of these anxieties.
